The Chicago Bears require more pass-rushing production from the interior of their defensive line next season. Many wondered if general manager Ryan Poles would aggressively pursue a high-caliber free agent such as Christian Wilkins. We're approximately two weeks into unrestricted free agency and the Bears haven't signed any interior linemen.

Factoring in that Justin Jones, who led all Bears interior defenders in sacks throughout 2023, departed in free agency, the Bears clearly need to address the position via the 2024 NFL Draft. Armed with little draft capital, the No. 75 overall selection feels like the best spot to do it. We've identified three interior DL prospects Poles could target at 75.

MCKINNLEY JACKSON | TEXAS A&M

Jackson was one of the most aggressive, violent, and physical defenders at this year's Senior Bowl. He's being extremely underrated. Jackson is a mammoth 326-pound gap-clogging linemen. Jackson produced totaled 91 tackles, 15.5 for a loss, and 7.5 career sacks for the Aggies. Jackson does the dirty work that allows pass rushers like Montez Sweat to record clean-up sacks.

RUKE ORHORHORO | CLEMSON

Orhorhoro is among the most athletic interior defenders in the class. Orhorhoro ran an insane 4.89 40 at the NFL Combine despite weighing 294 pounds. Orhorhoro also leaped a 32 inch vertical and 9-foot-8 broad jump. The Tigers standout accumulated 12 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss across five successful campaigns.

DEWAYNE CARTER | DUKE

Carter is among the most mature and organized prospects in the class. He impressed all teams, the Bears included, throughout his sit-down interview process at the Senior Bowl. Carter is a quick-twitched 3-tech with an explosive first step. Carter produced 10 total sacks across 2021 and 2022, but has to answer why his sack production regressed this past campaign.
