Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson is near the top of the list of the most talented players on the team's roster. It wasn't long ago that he was considered one of the best young safeties in the NFL, but injuries have lowered the ceiling on his reputation in recent seasons.

The 2022 season was trending as a rebound year until a Lisfranc injury on Nov. 27 ended it.

Now fully healthy, Jackson is ready to lead a new era of Chicago Bears football focused on winning.

"I'm tired of the same old standard that the Bears have, the same results in and out every year ... We want to make it to the playoffs and eventually win a Super Bowl," Jackson said from Halas Hall Tuesday. "We want to turn this thing around. ... I hate losing. I don't like it. I feel like it shouldn't be acceptable."

Jackson had more tackles (80) in 12 games last season than in 14 games (76) in 2021. He also returned to being a playmaker on the ball with four interceptions, snapping a two-season interception-less streak.

Eddie Jackson signed a four-year, $58.4 million extension with the Bears in 2020. While there's no doubt he remains in Chicago's long-term plans, he'll turn 30 years old this season. The time is ticking on Jackson being part of a winning Bears team.
