Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has never been one to lack confidence. Let's face it, to have as much success as he's had, you have to have a very strong belief in yourself. That confidence has transferred nicely to the NFL for the first overall pick, who said Monday that he's feeling good about his progression after the first week or so of practices.
“I’m on track to be ready,” Williams said. “Exactly where I need to be and where they want me to be.”
Where the Chicago Bears want Williams to be is the starter in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. Ready or not, he will be QB1, so it's good news that he's feeling good about his progress.
“I’m progressing, excited and ready to go,” Williams said.
Bears fans are excited, too.

Caleb Williams has been a joy to cover through the first three months of his Chicago Bears career. His answers to reporters' questions have been thoughtful and introspective. And honest. Check out this example from Monday:

There's no doubt Williams is a healthy blend of confidence and realism, so when he says he's feeling good about his development, you can believe him.
“The great part about it is that he cares, he works hard,” offensive coordinator Shane Waldron said.
It appears his hard work is certainly paying off.
