Chicago Bears 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft (News)

Joshua L. Jones / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Chicago Bears have just begun training camp and that's not preventing certain outlets from looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft. Ian Cummings of the Pro Football Network recently released a complete seven-round mock draft. The Bears made six scheduled picks throughout, and we're here with our analysis for every selection made!

Mykel Williams, Georgia, EDGE | No. 18 (first round)

The EDGE position will continue being viewed as the Bears' biggest need until proven otherwise. Georgia's Mykel Williams is a speedy and athletic pass rusher with a high ceiling. Williams would make for a phenomenal long-term partner opposite Montez Sweat.

Xavier Nwankpa, S, Iowa | No. 33 (second round)

Iowa safety Xavier Nwankpa has elite sideline-to-sideline range in coverage. The Bears signed Kevin Byard to a two-year contract earlier this summer, but that means he'll be scheduled to enter a contract year next season. General manager Ryan Poles could also consider making Byard a cap casualty next offseason.

Will Sheppard, WR, Colorado | No. 50 (second round)

The Bears are currently equipped with two second-round picks. With this 50th overall selection, Cummings protected the Bears against the possibility of Keenan Allen not signing an extension by drafting Colorado Buffaloes wideout Will Sheppard. Here's to hoping the Bears sign Allen to a multi-year extension soon.

Jaeden Roberts, OG, Alabama | No. 82 (third round)

The Bears could definitely enter the market for new interior starters next offseason. Teven Jenkins is entering a contract year at left guard, and perhaps more notably, Nate Davis must seriously rebound in 2024, or he won't be on the 2025 Bears. Alabama's Jaeden Roberts is a powerful guard prospect that projects as a top 100 selection.

Brian Stevens, OC, Virginia | No. 147 (round five)

Coleman Shelton and/or Ryan Bates are temporary solutions at center. Virginia's Brian Stevens is a quality developmental center prospect. Stevens started all 12 games for the Cavaliers last season, two at guard before transitioning to center for Virginia's final 10 contests.

Jo’Quavious Marks, RB, USC | No. 176 (round six)

Khalil Herbert is entering a contract season and isn't expected back with the Bears in 2025. Can D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson form a formidable duo in the backfield? Enter Jo'Quavious Marks, who swapped Mississippi State for USC earlier this offseason.

Gavin Bartholomew, TE, Pittsburgh | No. 179 (round six)

Marcedes Lewis is playing what's probably his final campaign as a Chicago Bear in 2024. 2023: Pittsburgh Panthers tight end Gavin Bartholomew averaged an explosive 18.1 yards per reception last season via 18 catches for 326 yards. Bartholomew would support Cole Kmet at the position as a long-term No. 2.

Jamon Dumas-Johnson, LB, Kentucky | No. 182 (round six)

The Bears are well-stocked at the linebacker position, but defenders with infectious energy make for great special teamers. Kentucky's Jamon Dumas-Johnson plays with a red-hot motor and sense of urgency. Dumars-Johnson would learn from T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds in Chicago.
