Here's more proof that Caleb Williams is the coolest Bears QB since Jim McMahon (News)

It hasn't taken long for Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams to cozy up to Bears fans.

First came his now trademark Bears claw gesture, which has spread across the locker room and front office and has become something of a team symbol entering the 2024 season.

Now, he's embracing the fanbase's hatred for the Green Bay Packers, going as far as to join a "Green Bay Sucks!" chant at a recent appearance.

Check it out:

Has any Chicago Bears quarterback been this 'cool' off the field since Jim McMahon in the 80s? Some may argue that Jay Cutler was a fan-favorite, but I don't think it's for the reasons why Williams has become so beloved.

Cutler had that 'IDGAF' attitude that resonated within certain (loud) parts of the fanbase. However, he wasn't everyone's cup of tea. In fact, I'd argue that Cutler became more frustrating than fun to cheer for by the time his tenure in Chicago ended.

And, look, that could happen with Caleb Williams, too. He has to win games and prove on the field that he's just as easy to cheer for between the lines as he's been outside of them. If confidence was a prerequisite for success, though, he's proving to have it in spades.

Williams will get his first taste of the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers rivalry in Week 11 at Soldier Field.
