The Chicago Bears have traded quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 sixth-round pick that could become a fourth-round pick depending on his playing time, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

If Fields plays 51% of the Steelers snaps in 2024, the fourth-round pick is triggered.

The Justin Fields trade brings an end to the Bears Fan Civil War. Now, Bears fans can unite around the reality that Caleb Williams will be the first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft and the future of the Chicago Bears franchise.

As for Fields, he'll compete with Russell Wilson to be the starting quarterback in Pittsburgh. If he loses that competition and the Steelers decline his fifth-year option, he'll become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Justin Fields' Chicago Bears career comes to an end with 38 starts and a 10-28 overall record. He' threw for 6,674 yards, 40 touchdowns and 30 interceptions while running for 2,220 yards and 14 scores.
