-Nathan Peterman is listed as the backup QB behind Justin Fields. Tyson Bagent is QB3 on the depth chart.
-Lucas Patrick is the starting center. Health is trending in the right direction for the OL but Codyโฆ pic.twitter.com/Y9M52Rqp9x
Undrafted rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent isn't the backup after all; instead, the Bears opted to go with Nathan Peterman at QB2 for Week 1.
Veteran running back D'Onta Foreman held off Roschon Johnson for the RB2 job (for now), and Cody Whitehair will begin the season at left guard while Teven Jenkins rehabs on injured reserve. Lucas Patrick is the starting center.
There aren't any surprises in the starting lineup (or even with the top reserves) on defense, but Velus Jones Jr. earning the kick returner duties will force some Chicago Bears fans to hold their breath.
