Montgomery joined the Bears as a third-round pick out of Iowa State in the 2019 NFL Draft and quickly won over fans with his high-energy and never-say-die style of play.
David Montgomery's time in Chicago ends with 915 carries for 3,609 yards and 26 touchdowns over four seasons.
Now, he'll face the Bears twice a year as part of the division-rival Lions.
It's fair to say that as quickly as Chicago Bears fans fell in love with Monty, they'll now view him as part of the enemy, even if deep down inside, we all wish him well.
