Embattled Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields hasn't had an ideal first two months of his second season in the NFL. He's been equal parts electric playmaker and hesitant pocket passer. But in Monday night's 33-14 thrashing of the New England Patriots, Fields was everything the Bears hoped he'd be when they traded up to select him in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.
Fields finished the game completing 13-of-21 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown while flashing his elite rushing ability with 84 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also displayed his trademark toughness against the Patriots, including on his touchdown pass to Khalil Herbert in the second quarter.
