The Chicago Bears placed wide receiver Byron Pringle on injured reserve with a calf injury, the team announced Tuesday.
Pringle exited Week 3’s win over the Houston Texans with a calf injury and will be on the shelf for a minimum of four games.
The Bears promoted linebacker Joe Thomas from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Byron Pringle signed a one-year, $4.125 million deal with the Bears in free agency. He was the headliner from this year’s free-agent class on offense but has just two catches for 33 yards through three games in 2022.
