WATCH: Khalil Herbert, D’Onta Foreman breaking big runs at Bears training camp
Chicago Bears Training Camp Highlights: Khalil Herbert and D’Onta Foreman break free in these Bears camp highlights.
The Chicago Bears kicked off their second week of training camp practices Monday, and some highlights of the intense 11-on-11 session (albeit without pads) have been shared on Twitter.
Two notable clips of running backs Khalil Herbert and D’Onta Foreman are making their rounds. It’s fun to get a look at one of the most hotly contested position battles on the roster.
The first run is by Herbert, who takes a handoff from Justin Fields after DJ Moore goes in motion. It’s a fun play design that will cause defenses to pause to ensure Moore isn’t breaking free with the ball.
Check it out:
The next clip is a good old-fashioned power run by D’Onta Foreman, who shows off his light feet and vision as he scoots past the line of scrimmage and into the second level:
In this clip, Herbert shows some skills as a receiver, catching a pass in traffic after leaking out of the backfield:
Foreman did his part to show he’s a competent receiver too. Check it out:
Hopefully, we’ll get some looks at rookie Roschon Johnson soon. He’s made his biggest impact in pass protection drills so far.
The Chicago Bears will go full pads on Wednesday, allowing players in position battles to begin separating themselves.
