The Chicago Bears added a foundational piece on defense with the free-agent signing of linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to a four-year, $72 million deal.
The 24-year-old former Pro-Bowler will man the weakside linebacker position in coach Matt Eberflus’ defense, a role that turned Colts linebacker Shaq Leonard into a star. And while Edmunds is already a household name, he can become an NFL superstar in Chicago.
