The Cleveland Browns signed Chicago Bears cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. off of the practice squad Tuesday in a move that ends the tenure of what appeared to be a 2021 day-three draft ‘hit’ by former general manager Ryan Pace.
Graham was drafted by the Bears in the sixth round of last year’s draft and emerged as a surprise contributor over the final month of the 2021 season. It was assumed he’d begin 2022 as a starter alongside Jaylon Johnson, but the selection of Kyler Gordon in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and a lingering injury during training camp forced Graham to the practice squad. Now, he’s a Brown.
Graham appeared in four games as a rookie with one start. He totaled 13 tackles and four passes defended.
