REPORT: Teven Jenkins could miss regular-season time with leg injury
The Chicago Bears’ good luck with injuries may have come to an end, as left guard Teven Jenkins could be out a while with a leg injury.
According to the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs, left guard Teven Jenkins is expected to miss time in the first month of the regular season with a leg injury.
Jenkins didn’t play in Saturday’s Week 2 preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, but with most of the starters in street clothes, there weren’t any reasons to be concerned. Now, that’s changed.
“With three weeks until the start of the regular season,” Biggs wrote, “Jenkins has some time, but the sources believe this injury will stretch into next month.”
The Chicago Bears’ 2023 season kicks off Sunday, Sept. 10, at Soldier Field against the Green Bay Packers. If Jenkins isn’t ready to go, Ja’Tyre Carter and Alex Leatherwood are the top options to replace him.
