Chicago Bears free agency

REPORT: Bears in contract negotiations with 49ers RT Mike McGlinchey

The Chicago bears are expected to make a splash signing at offensive tackle in 2023 free agency. It appears they’re closing in on doing just that, as ESPN’s Dianna Russini is reporting the Bears and Mike McGlinchey (San Francisco 49ers) are deep in contract negotiations.

McGlinchey is considered one of the top offensive tackles available in free agency and would be a huge improvement over last season’s platoon of Larry Borom and Riley Reiff.

McGlinchey is rated the 11th-best available free agency by Pro Football Focus. He’s expected to land a contract that pays more than $15 million per season and could approach as much as $20 million annually.
