The Chicago Bears are halfway through their first week of 2023 training camp practices, and while the pads won’t go on for a few more days, there have been plenty of highlights during the early sessions.
The wide receivers have been particularly good, led by DJ Moore, whose connection with Justin Fields has been the highlight of training camp so far.
Chase Claypool is getting better by the day, too. He cleared his physical and is beginning to make plays consistent with the expectations that came along with last year’s midseason trade.
The Bears are taking a cautious approach with Darnell Mooney, who’s spent an equal amount of time practicing with the team as he has doing individual work while his ankle works its way back to 100%.
