New Bears CEO Kevin Warren: I came (to Chicago) to win championships

Newly minted Chicago Bears team president and CEO Kevin Warren took a massive step toward winning over the fan base when he met with the media for the first time Tuesday afternoon. Warren, the former Big Ten commissioner with years of experience as an NFL executive, made his top priorities very clear.
“I came here to win championships,” Warren said. “To win the NFC North. To win the NFC. To win the Super Bowl.”
Breathe, Bears fans, breathe.
“Greatness is ahead of us,” Warren said. “All we need to do is go out and grasp it.”
Warren’s messaging continues the overwhelming optimism and excitement around the Chicago Bears this offseason. Armed with the most money to spend in free agency, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and Justin Fields at quarterback, a worst-to-first turnaround next season isn’t out of reach.
Warren is piggybacking off that excitement and leveling it up.
“Make it OK to talk about winning a championship,” he said.
Kevin Warren is expected to begin in his new role in April, although there’s a chance he’ll start sooner than that. Regardless of when his first day on the job is, his priorities are in the right place.
“These are the best fans in the NFL,” he said. “They deserve championships.”
