You may want to look away if you have Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields on your fantasy football playoff roster. The electric second-year quarterback’s status for Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles is in doubt after he missed practice Wednesday with what’s been described as an illness.
Bears coach Matt Eberflus said Fields is at Halas Hall and engaged in team meetings. He said his QB feels better with each passing day. But we’re knee-deep in flu season, and as anyone who’s battled the nasty winter bug knows, it’s impossible to predict how Fields will feel Sunday morning.
The Bears (3-10) welcome the NFC-leading Eagles (12-1) to Soldier Field for a 12 p.m. CST kickoff. Justin Fields has the better part of three more days to recover. Eberflus hinted that he expects Fields to be ready to play in Week 15. His practice status will be revisited Thursday.
“He’s engaged there and learning [the gameplan] as we go,” Eberflus said.
