NFL legend Howie Long: ‘Caleb Williams is must-watch TV’

In his second NFL season, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is living up to all of the hype he brought as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Williams continues to deliver highlight-reel moments on a weekly basis, and everyone across the football world can’t help but take notice.

During the Fox Sports NFL pregame show this past weekend, legendary defensive end Howie Long had high praise for the playmaking ability Williams brings to the table:

Williams lived up to that assessment again Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, making multiple eye-popping escapes in the pocket to avoid would-be sacks. Despite a lackluster day from him statistically, Williams was still able to deliver clutch plays to lead the Bears to another comeback win.

The Bears are now sitting at the top of the NFC North standings heading into Week 12, and Williams is easily one of the biggest reasons for their success. Considering this is still just Year 1 under new head coach Ben Johnson, it’s safe to say the best is yet to come for Williams and the Bears.
