Tyler Scott’s best chance to make Bears’ roster in 2024
If Scott wants to make an impact this season, the return game could be his ticket.
The Chicago Bears made some huge additions to their wide receiver room over the past two offseasons, trading for high-profile veterans in D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, and spending a top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL draft on Washington’s Rome Odunze.
That could push some of the team’s returning pass-catchers off the roster bubble, and Tyler Scott is a young player who might end up on the outside looking in if offense is the only place where he can make an impact.
If Scott wants to secure a roster spot for the Bears in 2024, his best bet could be on the return team, where he speed and vision could prove to be a big-play asset for Chicago:
Tyler Scott enters his second season w/The #Bears hoping to get more targets and involvement in the offense.
But honestly, I want to see him compete to be our returner in ‘24.
Scott has wheels and solid vision that allow him to do this.

It’s possible that Scott still makes the roster without winning the return job full-time, given that he’s still just heading into his second season. But it would help his chances immensely if he’s able to prove worthy of that role, and could secure him more than a reserve presence on offense, where he might not see many snaps.
