Kyle Pitts

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts suffers torn MCL during Bears game

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts will be sidelined for the foreseeable future after suffering a torn MCL during Week 11’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Pitts was injured on this tackle by safety Eddie Jackson:

The Falcons selected Pitts with the fourth-overall pick of the 2021 NFL draft. He had a fantastic rookie season that totaled 68 catches, 1,026 yards and one touchdown. He was off to an extremely slow start this year, totaling just 28 catches for 356 yards and two scores through 11 games.

Despite his sluggish 2022 campaign, Kyle Pitts is one of the NFL’s true unicorns. If there’s any bright side to this news, it’s only an injury to his MCL. He should make a complete recovery and return to his dominant form in 2023.

Assuming Pitts goes under the knife, his 2022 season is likely over.
