The Chicago Bears will kick off their 2022 NFL season from Soldier Field at 1 p.m EST (12 p.m. CST) in less-than-ideal weather conditions. Simply put, it’s pouring.
The weather will help neutralize any advantage the 49ers have over the Bears with their offensive weapons like Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Injuries will also play a big part in this game’s outcome, as all-world tight end George Kittle is officially inactive.
Here’s the full inactive list for San Francisco:
TE George Kittle (groin)
OL Daniel Brunskill (hamstring)
RB Ty Davis-Price
WR Danny Gray
QB Brock Purdy
DL Jordan Willis
OL Nick Zakelj
As for the Bears, they’re relatively healthy to begin the season. Only rookie WR Velus Jones Jr. will miss the contest because of injury. Here is the complete inactive list for Chicago:
WR Velus Jones Jr.
DB Elijah Hicks
DL Kingsley Jonathan
OL Ja’Tyre Carter
OL Alex Leatherwood
TE Trevon Wesco
