The Chicago Bears will play their final preseason game at home on Saturday against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Matt Eberflus announced that the starters would play, though he did not specify how many snaps they would get. This will be their last chance to work out on-field issues before the regular season starts on Sept. 10.
This is also the last chance for depth players to prove to the coaches that they belong on the active roster.
Every reserve Bears player wants to play the best game of their lives against the Bills, and it’s why these preseason games have so much meaning. Sure, it isn’t the best brand of football, but there’s passion and intensity on every snap. Football purists love it.
There are a few players on the Chicago Bears who will play with a little more urgency on Saturday, including these four who top my list.
