Bears will be shorthanded on offense against the Vikings on Monday Night Football
The injuries keep piling up for the Chicago Bears ahead of Monday night’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
The injury news got a lot worse for the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Starting left tackle Braxton Jones was added to the team’s injury report and will miss Monday night’s Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion. Jones reported his symptoms Sunday morning, leaving no time for him to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Jones’ absence is a huge loss for a Chicago Bears team that must fend off the Vikings’ blitz-heavy defense. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has already been sacked more this season than any Bears quarterback in team history, and Jones, while not perfect, has been one of Chicago’s best offensive linemen this season. He boasts the team’s second-highest Pro Football Focus grade on offense, including the second-highest pass-protection grade along the team’s o-line.
The Bears will likely start Larry Borom or rookie Kiran Amegadjie in his place. Yikes. Say a prayer for Caleb.
