2023 NFL Schedule: Bears to face Commanders in Week 5 Thursday night game

The Chicago Bears will have at least one primetime game in 2023, according to NBC Sports’ JP Finlay.

The Bears will travel to Washington to face the Commanders in Week 5’s Thursday Night Football matchup.

The Commanders are considered one of the worst teams in the NFL entering 2023. They have the sixth-worst Super Bowl odds, according to Bet MGM. That’s what happens when Sam Howell is your expected starting quarterback.

The Chicago Bears’ opener has already been leaked — a home tilt against the Packers. Now, with the Commanders’ Week 5 contest, the Bears’ defense will face two inexperienced quarterbacks in the season’s first five games.

That’s a big win for Coach Matt Eberflus and his staff.
